Dubai: DSS office said yesterday 15 companies will sponsor this year's Dubai Summer Surprises, the annual summer shopping and entertainment event.

Three of these companies will be sponsoring DSS for the first time. The list includes: Al Futtaim Group - Dubai Festival City, BurJuman, Dubai Duty Free, Dubai Refreshments - Mirinda, Dubai Shopping Malls Group, Dubai World Trade Centre, Emarat, Emirates airline, etisalat, Ibn Battuta Mall, MAF Shopping Malls and MasterCard Worldwide. Al Ghurair City, Alpha Tours and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry are the new sponsors.

"The support of the private sector has been pivotal in making Dubai Summer Surprises the most anticipated summer event in the region, and it clearly affirms the commitment of the private sector in realising the objectives of DSS, " said Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DSF and the DSS Supreme Committee.
